1. Logger only

If you use the logger only, you will collect accurate minute-by-minute recordings of the temperatures. In this scenario, you must upload the temperature records manually to log.temperature.cloud/en/upload. After uploading manually, you can visualize and analyze your recordings at temperature.cloud.

This mode of operation is ideally suited for monitoring the temperatures of shipments.

It's important to note that this approach does not provide real-time temperature excursion alarms. However, you can still review the temperature changes afterward to ensure you are aware of what occurred.

2. Base Station

with cellular plan

When using the Base Station with a cellular plan (no data),  you will collect accurate minute-by-minute recordings of the temperatures. The Base Station will notify designated persons by text message on temperature excursions, power outages, and logger low battery warnings.

After uploading manually to log.temperature.cloud/en/upload, you can visualize and analyze your recordings at temperature.cloud.  

This approach gives real-time temperature excursion alarms. However, you must upload the data manually to visualize the temperatures and obtain the reports.

3. Base Station

with data plan

This is the recommended way of working. It automates data collection, transmission, warning, and reporting.

When using the Base Station with a data plan,  you will collect accurate minute-by-minute recordings of the temperatures and the Base Station will notify designated persons by text message on temperature excursions, power outages, and logger low battery warnings.

The Base Station will also automatically upload your measurements to temperature.cloud, where automated reports are generated. Additionally you can check what is happening live from your computer and smartphone.
